Art Center Performance, Corpus Christi

A family-friendly series in collaboration with San Antonio Public Library, the OSA-CMI 2024 Apprentice Artists will visit five SAPL locations throughout the month of June. These performances are designed to give children and families an opportunity to learn more about the musical art form of opera. Experience this wonderful event as characters from operatic masterpieces share their stories through the power of music. Musical Bridges Around the World

The South Texas Tour, a tradition started by OPERA San Antonio, is designed to expand free community concerts to our neighbors in Uvalde, Laredo, and Corpus Christi.  This South Texas Tour is made possible by the generous sponsorship of H-E-B Helping Here.  

The South Texas Tour features the OSA-CMI 2024 Apprentice Artists.

Established as the education program of the Chamber Orchestra of San Antonio, CMI debuted in summer 2016. CMI provides classical music education to Bexar County’s youth during a two-week and year-long outreach program. With the success of our summer education program during the CMI 210 Festival, the long-term goal is to partner with local school districts to establish a year-round program.
