Introducing CMI JOY

The Junior Orchestra for Youth

More than an ensemble, CMI’s Junior Orchestra is a platform for students to learn a diverse set of skills from music that can be useful and transferable to other fields. The combination of specialized work on music leads to a world of problem solving, which includes important skills in a work environment such as collaboration, time management, public speaking, effective communication, leadership, critical thinking among others. CMI JOY have both in person and online activities with CMI Senior and Junior Faculty and is one of the ensembles in Residence during CMI Ascend.
