The Escher String Quartet is a former BBC New Generation Artist and recipient of the Avery Fisher Career Grant. The ensemble serves as seasonal artists of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. The members of the ESQ are: Adam Barnett-Hart and Brendan Speltz, violins, Pierre Lapointe, viola, and Brook Speltz, cello.

The CMI String Quartet Fellowship offers a unique opportunity for pre-formed quartets to participate in in-depth study with the acclaimed Escher String Quartet in San Antonio, TX. This Quartet Fellowship provides exceptional performance, mentoring and coaching opportunities to musicians with a high level of experience and commitment to string quartet development.Â

GENERAL INFORMATION
*Application Deadline: October 15, 2023.
*Decision Deadline: applications will be reviewed by the Escher String Quartet and applicants will be notified of the results by October 31, 2023.
*Arrival: the recommended arrival time is after 3:00 P.M. on November 30, 2023, to allow for check-in at the hotel.Â
*Departure: participants are expected to check out of the hotel by 10:00 A.M. on December 7, 2023. We encourage participants to plan their travels accordingly.
