John Arce is the Director, Cybersecurity CoP who is responsible for leading a team of high-level Cyber Architects and Engineers for BEAT LLC in the private and public sector. John spent many years traveling as a child of an Air Force Sgt. to include living in Puerto Rico with family for periods of time. John graduated from UTSA in 2008 with a Bachelor of Business and in 2011 with a Bachelor of Information Systems. He recently obtained his Master’s in Cybersecurity and Awareness through WGU. As a Cyber subject matter expert John has worked at Fortune 500 companies such as Bloomberg and USAA as well as dedicating his last 10 years to support the DoD. John also holds industry certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). John serves currently as a mentor for multiple agencies to include Cyber Patriot, Four Block, UTSA, The K.E.Y, BEAT LLC and individual mentees. Current projects include supporting 16th AFCyber (Cyber, Data Analytics, BDP), DHA cybersecurity and manages business to business projects (Governance, risk management, and compliance, ransomware support, incident response and assessments (NIST, ISO, RMF, CMMC). John developed and manages BEAT LLC’S outreach development with projects such as BEAT Rowdy Runners (UTSA Cyber and Computer Science Majors), San Antonio Teacher Training Astronomy Academy (SATTAA) Partnership, UTSA CompTIA Advisory, Hiring Our Heroes Corporate and Military Spouse Fellowship. John currently serves as the Chair for the State of Texas – Hiring our Heroes Military Spouse Zone an US Chamber of Commerce program.
