Steele II High School and J. Frank Dobie Junior High in Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD. He received his musical training from Tarleton State University and The University of Texas at San Antonio. Trained as a percussionist and pianist, he began violin studies during his graduate work at UTSA.
