Raised in San Antonio, Sarah has an interest in the city’s enrichment through the growth and accessibility of the arts. She acquired a love for classical music in childhood through years of ballet lessons and playing violin. Her late grandmother, Elizabeth Szuminski, was a lifelong violinist, performing professionally in her younger years and later giving music lessons. Sarah received a Bachelor of Science in journalism from Texas A&M University, where she also served as editor for the institution’s daily newspaper.
